Maidstone Deanery Day

Saturday 1st February 2003

9.00am - 1.00pm St. Paul’s Church, Boxley Road, Maidstone

The Maidstone Deanery has arranged a Deanery Day to enable us as a Deanery to get to know one another and to share current areas of ministry and our hopes for the future.  The morning will include some worship together, and presentations by representatives from each of the Anglican churches in Maidstone.  This will help us all to understand the particular focus of ministry in each worshipping centre, aims, vision and resources of each parish as well as particular needs and future aspirations.

By the end of next year each deanery in the Canterbury Diocese has been asked to produce a Mission Plan and the morning in February has been planned to assist with this. Members of Parochial Church Councils and the congregations of all of the churches in the Maidstone Deanery are encouraged to come and support this event. During the morning there will be a chance to meet members from other parishes and to look at displays of resources available to the churches in Maidstone.

It is hoped that many people will join the deanery representatives and clergy on this important occasion.
